Save the Children is currently accepting applications for a Monitoring and Evaluation Advisor for an anticipated USAID-funded Basic Education Program in Guatemala. The program will improve foundational reading, writing, math, and social and emotional skills acquisition for children and youth, increase retention and transition rates from primary to lower secondary in rural Guatemala.
The Monitoring and Evaluation Advisor will develop, implement, and continuously improve monitoring and evaluation systems for all project activities, including those led by partners. The Advisor will incorporate best practices to ensure information collected is accurate, timely and disseminated appropriately in high quality reports. The M&E Advisor will use these findings to improve the program and ensure that the program achieves its objectives. This person will also be actively involved in promoting learning through documentation of lessons learned, developing approaches for community analysis, and using data for making decisions, and will support partner organizations to adopt best practices in MEAL. The position reports directly to the Chief of Party (COP), and will be a member of the Senior Management Team.
This position is contingent upon donor approval and funding.
